In 2000 a committee began collecting, typing and organizing recipes from parish members. A 1970’s era St. Luke’s cookbook, Let Us Keep The Feast, was supplemented with the 21st century recipes. A cookbook, Let Us Keep The Feast II was compiled and published in 2002 with all proceeds directed to the church’s annual scholarship for a Buncombe County resident. “Mother’s Apple Cake”, an article in the October 2013 issue of Our State magazine renewed interest in the book and new orders necessitated a second printing.
